More Saturday fun

This morning, before I went to work, on a quick tour checking out the blogosphere for new posts, I came across the comment thread at this post at Furious Seasons that had me die laughing. Why? What's so special about it? Nothing. That's the point.

Last month, Philip had a post up telling us it was his 2,500th post. I bet, at least half of them have comment threads completely identical to the one I mention above: "Mental illnesses are biological brain diseases!." - "No, they aren't!" - "Mental illness kills!" - "No, it doesn't!" - "Psych meds help people cope and save lives!" - "No, they don't!" And so on, and so on... Basically the same people, the same arguments, over and over again. At Philip's blog, and I don't know at how many others - also here, btw, from time to time.

This morning, instead of feeling inclined to weigh in, I took a step back, looking at the picture, and, well, I was dying laughing. - No need for me to weigh in, btw. "MsPiggy" already did a great job over there. Factual, intelligent and eloquent. Thanks "MsPiggy"!

Hi Marian!

I understand. I recently stopped reading blogs for a week or so and when went back to reading, I noticed I just wasn't in the mood to comment like I use to. It doesn't mean I am not reading people. I just don't know what to say.

I love Monty Python. You really had me laughing and I thank you for that. Hugs to you and Lord Tennyson.

LOL that is too damn funny, we do sound like that over there don't we?

Good comments by "Ms.Piggy", always seems to take people on in a fearless demanding the truth sort of way.

Thanks for the laugh!

Susan: Same here. I read, but don't always know what to say.

Hugs to you too, and to Holly.

Stephany: Well, sometimes. But you know what? I didn't have time to get back to you here before, because I was very actively participating in an argument clinic myself tonight :D

Actually, it's just because you silly birds are so easy to play. Remember Stephen Blau? LOL.

MsPiggy always rocks. I wish she had her own site/blog.

Do you mean doctor Blau? (snark)

Yes, Marlboro Jones, I agree!

"Do you mean doctor Blau?"

Well, I went from Mr. Blue to Blau to Stephen Blau. You added the "Doctor" and then found an existing Dr. Stephen Blau after Googling and actually assumed I was him. Then slandered the poor guy on your blog. LOL. He thought you were an idiot. I don't know if he ever got in touch with you himself.

Oh well, at least I have insurance. LOL.

Interesting, Julian-Blue-Blau, maybe I need to warn Marian to pay attention to what you just said here.

At least we know you're just an inflammatory troll here, and at Furious Seasons, now with yet another name.

Sorry Marian, I won't use this as a platform anymore, but thought others would want to know.
You can choose to not publish this comment if you want.

Stephany: I actually hesitated before I published Julian-Blue-Blau's latest comment. I do understand why some bloggers disable comments...

Marian said...

Julian-Blue-Blau: I won't publish further comments from you. Just so you know.

Interesting how trolls like to spend their time isn't it?

Stephany: I find it quite revealing when ppl like Stephen-Blue-Blau, or whatever his name, haven't got anything better to spend their time and energy on than trying to disseminate their venom in the blogosphere. What a poor life it must be! Makes me feel sorry for them.
